After breakfast proceed for a day excursion to Barsana to witness the famous LathmaarHoli of Barsana(approx 02 hours' drive)

Upon arrival in Barsana, We will leave our Car at the parking and walk toward the Barsana village. In the village we will take our positions on a rooftop to have a view of streets where Holi celebration will takes place. We have to reach Barsana 2-3 hours prior to the celebration to get the best location.
Today the famous lath mar Holi is celebrated in Barsana. Here, men from Nandgaon, the land of Krishna come to play Holi with the girls of Barsana and hope of raising their flag over ShriRadhikaji's temple. But, instead of colours they are greeted with sticks by the gopis. Hence, this Holi gets its name – Lathmaar Holi. Smart enough, men come fully padded as they are fully aware what kind of welcome awaits them and also the fact that they are not allowed to retaliate on that day. In this mock battle of sorts, they try their best not to be captured. The unlucky one's however, are forcefully led away and get a good thrashing from the women.

This day, it is the turn of the men from Barsana. They reciprocate by invading Nandgaon and drench the women folk of Nandgaon in colours of Kesudo, naturally occurring orange-red dye and Palash. Today, the women of Nadagon beat the invaders from Barsana.

Upon arrival in Mathura, meet your guide and continue on to Vrindavan (11 kms form Mathura)

In Vrindavan, continue the Holi celebration in full glory with a visit to the famous Banke-Bihari
Temple. Accompanied by your guide, watch Hindu priests throw colored water and marigold
garlands over the devotees, and feel the crowd surge forward to get a better glimpse of their
beloved Lord Krishna.
See the town come alive with more abir-tossing, folk theater re-enactments and singing contests
in the streets. Finally, when you've had your fill of bright colors and boisterous fun,
Return to Mathura in the afternoon.

Holi is a Hindu spring festival in India, also known as the festival
of colours or the festival of sharing love. The festival signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter, and for
many a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and repair broken relationships, and is also celebrated as a thanks giving for
a good harvest. It lasts for two days starting on the Purnima (Full Moon day) falling in the BikramSambat Hindu Calendar month of Falgun,
which falls somewhere between the end of February and the middle of March in the Gregorian calendar. The first day is known as HolikaDahan or
Chhoti Holi and the second as RangwaliHoli, Dhuleti, Dhulandi or Dhulivandan. On this day lots of activities takes place almost all over the country. The most typical celebrations range from traditional temple rituals to modern parties with Dance, music, food and plenty of colors.
This year the Holi Celebration Program will be Organised on 10th March 2020. It will be attended by both domestic and International guests. In the designated area, the charming practice of color throwing / playing colors under the beats of some dance prompting numbers will take place. Traditional homemade snacks & drinks will be served to replenish the energy for more dance and play.
